SC & Jonathan | KWCAC University of Waterloo Wedding
After witnessing the love of SzeChing and Jonathan at their beautiful engagement shoot at Richmond Green Park, we can’t believe it’s already their wedding day! Their blessed day began with lots of fun and giggles. After the bride and groom got ready in their respective lodgings, the groom and his trusted groomsmen travelled to meet the beautiful bride, but not without a series of challenging door games! The bridal party had a blast whilst Jonathan and his men conquered all the games one by one, and finally got to see the bride in a dazzlingly crimson Chinese traditional wedding dress. After receiving blessings from family at the tea ceremony, SzeChing changed into a graceful white wedding dress and joined the bridal party to take a series of beautiful pictures at the University of Waterloo. Waterloo was where SzeChing and Jonathan met, went to church and school together, and they have decided to hold their ceremony there to commemorate their loving memories! It was a bright and sunny day, and the couple were glowing with joy and grace when being photographed by the water ponds and willow trees. The bridal party overall had so much fun doing this shoot, and it was delightful to watch! After that, we all arrived at the school church of Waterloo, a sacred and meaningful place for SzeChing and Jonathan, for their heart-warming and solemn ceremony. The best man and maid of honor gave heartfelt speeches, during which happy tears were shed. It was a moving scene. So much love, joy, blessings were felt. The bride and groom also gave sincere and sweet speeches. To thank their guests, the newlyweds prepared Hong Kong style snacks in cute little baggies for the guests to take home!
It meant so much to us to be able to walk with SzeChing and Jonathan on their special day. We were blown away by the sincerity of the emotions seen that day and the deep love this couple has for each other. Congratulations, SzeChing and Jonathan!
Jenny & Aaron | Steam Whistle Brewery Wedding
This Steam Whistle Brewery wedding is one for the record! The day was filled with so much JOY! As you scroll through the photos, you will definitely see all the lovely smiles from everyone, especially our sweet bride! It was the same joy and smile from their engagement session we photographed last year! We had a lot of fun with the bridal party - they all looked stunning! They were always up for our posing suggestions and super sweet to photograph. My favourite was the one where the bride and groom went through the tunnel created by the bridal party!
Even with some spontaneous changes due to the weather, their ceremony was beautiful indoors! The chuppah fit so beautifully in the room. When music started for the hora, dances and cheers filled the room very quickly, especially when the bride and groom got lifted up on a chair! Such a fun crowd!
Thank you Jenny & Aaron for having us be part of your special day! Congratulations once again!

Stephanie & Jason | Whimsical Guild Inn Estate Wedding
It was a long time planning for our sweet Stephanie' and Jason’s special day. Like many couples for the last 18 months planning their dream wedding, there were a lot of uncertainties due to COVID. BUT they did it and everything was so perfect and beautiful! Our stunning bride was talented herself that she calligraphed all the stationaries and coat hangers. Stephanie has a big heart for people, especially her loved ones. She has taken the time out of her busy schedule of work, starting a business and wedding planning to hand make her bridesmaids gifts as well. Her work is so cute, elegant, romantic, fun and everything in between. If you don’t know already, you gotta check out her shop at Fish Designs Co.
The modern dating app really pulled these two together as they grew up from different cities. In fact, Stephanie moved from Vancouver to United States to Waterloo to Australia to Hong Kong and finally settling in Toronto (for now?). When we first met them, we thought they’ve known each other since childhood as there were so much things in common that they’ve shared and really enjoyed doing together: Pokemon Go and food adventures. For their engagement session, they even brought bubble tea as prop! Ummm, did i mentioned they even got an egg waffle station from Eggette Hut for their reception for their guests to enjoy?!!! They not only are foodies and knows how to have fun but really cares for those around them and are always providing for them. They are what I like to call a “Power Couple”!
Thank you Stephanie and Jason for having us be a part of your engagement journey and documenting your special day with loved ones. We wish you two a lifetime-full of adventures and blessings!

Jenny & Tim | Joyful Shangri-La Banquet Wedding
Jenny and Tim’s love story was a very special one - to me, it almost seemed like God orchestrated it all brought the two together at the perfect timing just before their wedding day! They both attended the same high school and church for quite some time before they officially met at the end of 2018. It was at their church event where Tim was a part of a group entered into contest to fundraise for a food bank. He asked for Jenny’s vote towards his group submission and from there the two started chatting online. A few months into 2019, they became official girlfriend and boyfriend! They just got married in September 2021 - doesn’t seem like they dated that long but when you talk to them it sounded like they’ve known each other since they were kids! Love stories like these gives me all the butterflies to see two coming together as one in the most perfect way.
With such a unique story of how these two could have met so much sooner at both their high school and church before 2018, for their wedding portraits we walked down the memory lane with them. Yes, we went to their high school - can you spot it on here? ;)
The day was all smiles for our sweet Jenny. It’s no wonder that Joy from Inside Out reminded Tim of Jenny. He even gifted her Joy the plush toy and card for their wedding gift! It was so funny to see Jenny laugh inside the gift bag before any one of us knew what she was giggling about. Their chemistry is such a playful, sweet and supportive one! They even bring so much joy to those around them. During the reception, they did a little something different for your traditional first dance - the bride dipped the groom instead! Tim is about a head and half taller than Jenny and for her to dip him at the end of their first dance got the crowds cheering!
Oh, what a happy day! It was so much fun to capture the festivities that took place on this blessed day! Thank you Jenny & Tim for having us be a part of your big day and congratulations once again!

Samantha & Kelvin | Richmond Hill Observatory Wedding
Samantha and Kelvin first met at their church’s youth fellowship back in 2009. They knew little of each other at that time and it wasn’t until 2014 when they got a chance to work on an event together for their fellowship that they started conversing more. Their dialogues continued via text messages while Kelvin was away for school in Waterloo and Samantha stayed in Toronto. And a beginning of this beautiful relationship started…
Love is in the air for them on Valentine’s Day where 2015 Kelvin gifted Samantha a handmade Eiffel Tower that she longed to visit one day! And on the same day in 2020, Kelvin got down on one knee and asked the most important question of his life to his now wife! The rest was just history!
Like many other couples getting married during a pandemic, plans have changed, and it wasn’t easy for them as Kelvin’s parents were abroad and was unable to attend. By careful considerations and lots of prayers, the two decided to postpone their reception celebration until a safer time (hopefully next year). With them being the sweetest couple, a lot of people attended the ceremony on live and in-person (limited capacity, of course) to show support for their union! They even prepared sweets and favours for their guests to take away at the end of the ceremony.
We still had a very eventful day even without the reception and it was a lot of fun! Kelvin and the boys came over for some Door Games and challenges that the bridesmaids came up with was so creative and fun! Samantha in her hide-out room couldn’t resist but laugh out loud while watching the groom and groomsmen being challenged!
When we photographed their engagement session, it was cold, windy, and even snowed early in the day - in May! Their love can really withstand the toughest weather no matter rain or shine! During portraits session, the rain came down after 15 minutes of arrival time. Fortunately, we still got some good portraits of the bridal party and bride and groom! And they were not soaked or wet thanks to the little cover that the observatory has as a hide-out spot! It was still fun as we would wait out for the rain and head back into our hiding spot when it rained more. Love can really conquer all things, even the toughest weather!
Thank you Samantha and Kelvin for having us be a part of and documenting your special day! Congratulations once again!
Manley & Lorie | A Magical Fairytale Wedding at Paradise Banquet Hall
At our first meeting with Manley & Lorie, we’ve quickly learned that Manley loved all things magical, whimsical and fairytale-like. For their proposal, they went to Disneyworld Florida for a friend’s 30th birthday. In front of the Magic Castle, Lorie got down on one knee and surprised Manley with the most important question of her life! At first she thought he was joking - “I thought he was joking so I pushed his shoulder telling him to stop. I started walking away but my friends yelled at me to go back. Still confused, I went back and let him hold my hand again. People had started cheering and I couldn't hear Lorie anymore.”
For their wedding, it was to no surprise that it was an inspired whimsical and romantic theme with pink, blush, creams and soft white as their colours. For their wedding details, the colours were really in the bride and bridesmaid’s bouquets. A pair of Jimmy Choo’s is every girl’s dream wedding shoes and Manley’s were the pink sparkly ones! You can definitely see more of romantic and fairytale blend in the reception decorations and hall. The centrepieces were tall gold vase with floral arrangement on top surrounded with tall candles and a gold vintage mirror table number - that reminds me of the Beauty and the Beast table setting but much more prettier! Paradise Banquet Hall is perfect venue to match Manley and Lorie’s wedding theme with the regal room and big chandelier! It was so dreamy to see their first dance underneath the beautiful oversized chandelier on the top and dry ice rising from the ground creating a cloud like effect and everything was just so romantic!
Most Disney Princesses stories take place at a tower or on top of a hill, for Manley & Lorie’s portraits we headed up a hill as well. We were “close” to the sky and saw many trees below us. Manley wore a beautiful off-shoulder a-line gown with sheer embroidered lace bodice that gave her a modern princess vibe when we photograph them over the hills!
Although Manley and Lorie’s wedding was postponed, due to COVID restrictions, and smaller than what they’ve imagined it to be but their wedding day was beautiful nonetheless! They were surrounded with so much joy and love from families and friends! Thank you Manley and Lorie for having us to be a part of your special day and capturing all the beautiful moments you’ve shared with loved ones! Congratulations to the newly wed!

Christine & Jamie | Sunnyside Pavilion Micro Wedding
Christine and Jamie’s wedding was a long time coming. We met these two beautiful souls virtually for the very first time in June 2020. They just arrived to the cottage and quickly jumped on the meeting with us. Even though the WIFI connection was not the strongest, and sometimes laggy, but their personalities radiated through the screen! They were nothing less from gentle, kind, friendly and always seeking for a good time - and these were exactly what we witnessed on their big day!
Like most couples planning a wedding during a pandemic, it definitely was not easy for the bride- and groom-to-be. Knowing that they are peoples-people who enjoys spending time with loved ones, but there were a few items that needed to be taken out of the wedding day agenda due to the restrictions. (This calls for real sacrifice and flexibility.) At the time of our check-in meeting, a few weeks before their wedding, Toronto had just moved into Stage 1 from the Stay-at-home orders. It was hard to keep to the 10 person limit for the ceremony and extremely struggled between having grandma or brother! BUT… GUESS WHATTTT!! The week of their wedding, we moved into STAGE TWO where indoor ceremony was allowed for up to 50 people!! This means BOTH brother and grandma annnnnddd more families and friends can attend! (It was like God heard their struggles and lifted the restrictions just in time for their special day!) We know what a challenge it was for them so we were ecstatic when we heard this news and received their email confirmation! Our hearts already celebrated with them the days leading up to their wedding day. They ever so deserve to be celebrating this special day with their friends and families. Have I mentioned that they were peoples-people? Their friends love them so much and were overjoyed with the union, they even surprised the newly wed with a fun sign outside the church! Bubbles and the ‘Just Married’ sign brought out the festivities for the new Mr and Mrs (see photos below)!
Ohhhkayy, oookk, not only are these two beautiful on the inside but they’re like friggin’ STUNNING on the outside! Gahh, they look so darn good that made the backdrop as their prop. Sunnyside Pavilion is gorgeous backdrop for engagement or weddings. When we first suggested this location to them, they told us their concerns for it not looking so great for wedding photos because it was a bit dingy vibe. But until we showed them some wedding photos of the venue, Christine immediately fell in love with it and booked it. So happy she did because they look absolutely stunning in it! Felt like we were photographing models for bridal magazines! Don’t believe me? Scroll down to see it for yourself!
Thank you Christine and Jamie for giving us the opportunity to have journeyed with you and documenting your big day! We wish you an abundant of blessings and a lifetime of happiness to come! Congratulations again!

Annie & Jeff | Love Overcomes All Markham Micro Wedding
Getting married during the pandemic is not easy. For those who did tie the knot can attest to the many challenges of a COVID wedding. Annie and Jeff have their share of hardships; from their original venue complications, to parent fly-in restrictions, to limited guests count. Getting married during COVID had brought them many heartaches and a rollercoaster of emotions they did not anticipate. Yet, these things did not hinder their love for one another and their desire to be married. They are one of the strongest couples we’ve seen who broke through all the struggles and carried on with their wedding plans (with a few amendments)! They tackled each challenge one at a time together with their amazing planner (Kristy) to coordinate a beautiful wedding at the Markham Marriott Hotel event space, which accommodated their needs to host a ceremony. Having great vendors on your team sure helps to bring your vision to life!
It is so encouraging to see both Annie and Jeff’s dedication for love! Their love overcomes all things! We are so honoured to be a part of such a beautiful day - thank you Annie and Jeff!

YAO DAN & MICHAEL | Toronto Healthcare Heroes' Micro Wedding
Yao Dan & Michael stepped into their wedding at a very busy time of COVID. Both are frontline healthcare professionals working tirelessly so that we and our families are well and safe. Although this season has definitely brought them many surprising changes to their original plans for what they envisioned for their special date; they were still excited to make the best of every moment. With many of their friends and families, local and overseas, weren’t able to join, we’re sure everyone was just as happy for them. We know that loved ones are waiting in anticipation for the day that lockdowns will lift and they will be able to join them in celebration face to face again! So it was with great joy that we can see them finally tying the knot and seeing their smiling eyes behind their masks.
After the cutest first look witnessed by their closest friends we headed over to their church where their marriage would be bound and sealed. After reading their lovely vows Michael’s mom had a surprise of her very own. It was a long lost letter that Michael had written to Yao Dan in grade school sharing when he first fell in love with her. The pastor asked him to read out the letter which filled the sanctuary with raw young emotion, romance and a lot of laughter from family and friends. It was fun and hilarious and carefully crafted. Michael wanted to share this letter when the relationship became serious, as love should not be taken lightly and this was definitely the moment. Yao Dan and Michael are certainly the sweetest couple who will create many more fun memories to come! Thank you for having us to capture this beautiful union!
CHARMAINE & EDMOND | Toronto Nature + Ravine Elopement
Charmaine and Edmond our second COVID couple this year had their beautiful wedding in quaint ravine that was surrounded by a surreal dreamy backdrop. As we descended to the bottom of the valley we were welcomed by the florals and foliage that blanketed the slopes. At the bottom were trees swaying in the wind and the river peacefully flowing around us. If that weren’t enough, our bride prepared a beautiful bohemian themed decor that included an intimate tent, dream catchers, and at the centre where they exchanged vows and their first kiss stood their chuppah with cake and champagne to pop! As they shared cake and drinks the moment of laughter and joy rang true. Their family and close friends from Hong Kong even zoomed into the moment through video so not to miss the newly wed’s union! This may not have been the day they initially envisioned, but even with COVID turning everyone upside down, they were still able to have so much fun planning and sharing this special moment together.

NANCY & QUI | Toronto Edwards Garden Wedding
When it comes to planning a fun wedding - and I mean, FUN - Nancy and Qui sure had the right attitude in mind. They made it enjoyable for themselves, their families, and their friends … of course with a little help from the abundance of drinks ;) Don’t worry, a little Hennesey in the morning didn’t affect them too much! The pink ties complemented the blue suits really well, leaving the men with a clean-cut look. We have ourselves some Toronto Raptors fans here. With the Raptors bringing home the NBA 2019 Championship Trophy (read all about it here), Qui got his groomsmen some Raptors jerseys! While the guys were modelling the Titanic pose, the girls in the other suite were elegantly positioned on the bed for some beautiful portraits. There was even a blue wall in the suite to pair with their pretty pink robes - matching their colour theme.
Nancy, our beautiful bride, looked absolutely stunning in her white wedding gown! She was ready to surprise her groom at their first look! Qui has been patiently waiting for the arrival of his bride and when he saw her for the time, he couldn’t stop smiling! These two were so cute!
We travelled to Edwards Garden for some bridal and family portraits. It sure was busy during this wedding season at Edwards Garden, but thankfully we found a nice shaded area by the big tree that kept the family staying cool for group photos.
Since Nancy and Qui already signed their marriage license at city hall the day before, we headed straight to the reception venue at the Royale Fine Dining & Banquet. One of the best things about celebrating a wedding at a Chinese banquet hall is the food - TEN course meal - now who would still be hungry after that?!
Nancy and Qui value and appreciate each of their guests at the wedding so they decided to capture a photo with each of them in front of their rented flower wall to make memories with everyone that attended. We loved the idea of a beautiful flower wall to receive guests, especially because it creates a clean background for photos!
Once Qui popped that champagne, the fun really started for everyone! Music, fast-beat dancing, oriental karaoke, prize winning games, bottoms-up-drinks, and sentimental speeches! Speaking of speeches, Qui’s Best Man even brought in a prop, the WWE Championship belt, for the newly wed! It sure was a unique way to send blessings and wishes to the couple, they truly did feel like champs that night! It was a sweet ending to the night, as the couple hired an ice cream truck on this hot summer wedding for their guests to enjoy!
What a lively crowd to have shared this day with! Thank you Nancy and Qui for having us a part of your special day with your fun families and friends! Congratulations again on your new journey into marriage!

LAURA & RYAN | Winery Wedding
We worked with Laura and Ryan on their engagement shoot and were so happy to be photographing their wedding day! If you remember, Ryan proposed to Laura in the romantic lavender fields at Terre Bleu last summer and this summer, they celebrated their wedding day in a beautiful Winery.
The big day began with the guys getting ready at Kingbridge Centre and the girls at the bridal suite at the Winery. The girls sure had a lot of fun and giggles popping a bottle of champagne! Laura also had some quiet time to look through the photobook that we made of their engagement.
Laura and Ryan decided to have their first look in a small clearing in the woods. As Ryan turned around to see his stunning bride for the first time, Laura and Ryan both had the biggest grins on their faces – they knew that this day and the rest of their lives will turn out well! We really loved taking photos of the bride and groom and their wedding party in the vineyard. The views were so breathtaking that we thought we were in Napa Valley in California!
As guests started to arrive for the outdoor ceremony, the day became hotter and more humid. We were a little worried about the clouds, but it didn’t rain until after the ceremony ended – hurrah!
Turns out the weather worked in our favour. The grey overcast tones accentuated the vibrant greens of the vineyard, trees and grass, making everything new and lively. It also really brought out the snow white of Laura’s wedding gown and long train. Added bonus: the rain left us with a gorgeous sunset!
After the ceremony, everyone celebrated the new couple inside the wooden rustic-style Clubhouse. Music, chattering and laughter rang through the grounds all night long!
Laura and Ryan, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to walk alongside you on your marriage journey – from friendship to engagement to wedding! Wishing you guys a lifetime of happiness!
