Kristen & Louie | Toronto Ward's Island Engagement
Kristen and Louie’s love story began in the summer of 2015, when the two gum lovers found each other through online dating platform. On their first date at a café, Louie surprised Kristen with a pack of her favorite gum, strawberry Bubblicious. It was soon clear to them that something special had sparked, as they felt a strong connection with each other ever since their second date. Soon they started dating and six years later, they got engaged!
Kristen and Louie moved into their first home together in August 2021. Louie planned his proposal on their first night there, which was also the six-year anniversary of their first date. That evening, he asked Kristen out for dinner at a restaurant near their new place. Although this had initially made Kristen suspicious, Louie brushed away her sharp intuition by insisting the ring wasn’t ready yet. In reality, he had the evening all planned out! On a romantic post-dinner walk to the lake, in full view of the city’s beautiful skyline, he proposed. To top off the already magical night, when the happy couple returned to the house, Kristen’s parents and godparents launched a surprise celebration for them with champagne.
Kristen and Louie are a committed, fun, loving couple who share many delightful hobbies. They love British mystery shows and trivia games, as well as cooking and baking together. They enjoy walks near the lake and visits to small towns, which explains the couple’s choice of location for this engagement shoot! Ward Island is not only Kristen’s favorite island, but also a place filled with fond memories of the couple.
Thank you for bringing us along to the island that means so much to you. We had so much fun capturing the sweet moments of this absolutely adorable couple! You can almost see their joy oozing out of these photos. The way they looked at each other, their laugh, the pure bliss they basked in, filled the air with bubbly sweetness like a strawberry Bubblicious. We are sure that their love will only grow sweeter in the years to come. We are so happy for you, Kristen and Louie, and we can’t wait to join you on your wedding day!

Cheryl & Felix | Romantic Sunset Lavender Engagement
Cheryl and Felix’s love story began at summer camp, hosted by their church. They started out as volunteers, only acquainted with each other, but became friends down the road. They talked about anything and everything from Hungry Hungry Hippos to the first of Cheryl’s many hypothetical questions! Seems to never be a dull moment between the two! It was until the summer of 2015, Felix took Cheryl out to a rooftop patio at Hemingway’s for lunch, followed by nerdy adverts at the Maker Faire. From there, their friendship grew into a romantic relationship!
Six years later, Felix arranged a “European” road trip through southern Ontario. A list of various cities in the province with European names was given to Cheryl and she had to decide on one to visit. Luckily, she chose Zurich, the town that Felix had planned to propose! The trip started off with “Pisa, Ontario” (the Frankie Tomato in Markham) for the laughs then continued west to Cambridge and Paris, visiting markets, bakeries, sculpture parks and cafes. Next on the list was Zurich. Just making it on time for sunset, Felix brought Cheryl to a secluded beach. There, he proposed and the rest was history! They celebrated in London for dinner, the same restaurant they went to on their first Valentine’s day. We couldn’t be any happier for the couple. We were super excited to take their photos for them considering how sweet their love story is!
There have been many photoshoots we’ve done in fields of flowers but nothing beats the aroma of lavender! On a beautiful sunny evening in July, Cheryl and Felix chose to have their photoshoot done at Bonnieheath Estate Lavender & Winery. Their giggles with each were like music to our ears, only to find out mid way through their session that Cheryl had an amazing voice! Instead of having her sing, we had Felix woo her with his singing. That made this couple smile and giggle all the more. With the warm sun setting behind them, the fragrance of lavender refreshing the air, and laughter throughout the shoot, who wouldn’t have a great time?
It was such an honor and joy to work with Cheryl and Felix! Their love and laughter they shared was contagious which makes us all the more eager for their big day. Thank you for letting us capture a part of your love story!

SC & Jonathan | A Sweet Summer Richmond Green Park Engagement
SzeChing and Jonathan are a committed, god-loving duo. They met each other at church when they were still students. While SzeChing was an active member of the fellowship committee at church, Jonathan was a quieter participant. Yet Jonathan slowly became more active and started working with her in the committee. SzeChing was a very active girl, always organizing different kinds of sport activities such as swimming, running, playing softball and badminton in her leisure time, and Jonathan was almost always there. In the summer when SzeChing graduated and Jonathan had one semester left, she joined Jonathan’s intramural softball team. One evening when they had finished the softball game and were walking together, Jonathan took the courage to ask! SzeChing took a week of careful consideration and deep conversation before they started dating. They could both feel the butterflies on their first date, when they went to Queen’s park for Canada day celebration and had ramen together. Soon after, a new job offer turned their love into a long-distance relationship. Looking at this couple today, we could be certain that distance didn’t diminish the sweetness and commitment in SzeChing and Jonathan’s love, but perhaps even amplified it.
5 years into their relationship, Jonathan decided to pop the question. He created a multi-stage scavenger hunt / escape room game all by himself, all filled with puzzles for SzeChing to solve. After almost 3 hours, SzeChing finally solved the last puzzle. Jonathan proposed and she said YES! It was deeply touching as Jonathan had planned this big moment for almost a year, and every bit of the game was thoughtfully organized to reflect their 5 years of loving memories.
We were deeply touched by this couple’s love story, their commitment and thoughtfulness for each other! The couple looks absolutely gorgeous on their casual stroll around Richmond Green Park, happily posing by the waterfall and under the beautiful willows. Thank you for having us on this delightful engagement shoot! We were also lucky enough to document SzeChing and Jonathan’s big day. Check out their wedding blog here!
Rosanne & Jamie | Romantic Hamilton Engagement Session
Rosanne and Jamie were destined to be together forever. They first met each other in grade 5 where both had just arrived to this brand new school together. Their desks were even across from each other in class! Jamie was Rosanne’s secret admirer since they were 10 years old and had asked Rosanne to their grade 7/8’s school dance. They danced to this song - Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss A Thing”. This song describes them even to this day!
“Don't want to close my eyes
I don't want to fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you baby
And I don't want to miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you baby
And I don't want to miss a thing” — Aerosmith
With high school, everyone went their separate ways and the same applied to Jamie and Rosanne. For years they did not keep in touch with one another…..not until an app brought them back together just a few years ago! Their official first date was all about catching up at the skating rink by the Harbour Front Center. They had so much fun and it was so easy for them to reconnect. It even brought them to their next activity as they watched their favourite movie - Jurassic Park - the perfect nostalgic sequel! A connection that sparked from grade 5 then to grade 8’s school dance then to this official first date and here we are, they are engaged!!! The spark continues on and on and that was exactly how we felt when we photographed their engagement session!
For their shoot, we decided to head to Dundurn Castle in Hamilton. Jamie loves architecture and Rosanne loves to be by the water. (Their first date was by Toronto’s Harbour Front and their sweet proposal was by Humber Bay Park - their story was truly love by the waters.) Dundurn Castle was absolutely perfect for them! Her makeup artist, Fiona Man, did such a great job in bringing out the natural beauty of Rosanne with the perfect soft makeup palette. Rosanne wore a chic satin dress and Jamie was in a semi-formal attire - they both looked stunning! The sun had set at such the perfect time where we were able to capture so romantic photos for these sweethearts! We had such a great time with them. Rosanne has the cutest laugh as Jamie was so good at making her giggle. It gave me butterflies when we captured their pure, long, destined love! They were so so so cute together! Rosanne and Jamie, thank you for having document this stage for you. We so look forward to your big day in a few months times!

Fiona & William | Cheery Waterfront & Sugar Beach Engagement
Walking down hand-in-hand by the waterfront, these two lovebirds were absolutely adorable to work with. Fiona and William started off their love story in high school but not as sweethearts. The two had such a natural connection that led them to talk for hours about anything and everything. They started off as friends that would do practically everything together be it shopping, eating out, or grabbing bubble tea to a couple that supported each other through patience, love, and laughter.
Originally, we wanted to take photos with the cherry blossoms but mother nature took us to the waves and sand of the waterfront in Toronto. With the pink umbrellas of Sugar Beach and the docks at Polson Pier, Fiona and William took charge of the shoot with their own charm, creating a space for themselves that embraced the moment. Not to mention the shoes! Fiona rocked a pair of Converse that had calligraphy written with their wedding date and “Mrs. Zhou” on the side. Thank you for letting us have just as much fun with your photoshoot as you did being in each other’s arms! We’re excited to see how fun and lovable your wedding will be!
Anna & Jesse | Downtown Toronto Sunset Engagement
Anna and Jesse's love story began on the softball field as they played together on the same team throughout the summer season. To them it was unexpected that they would fall for one another as they were not interested in one another initially. However as they began to play and see each other every week, their competitive and passionate personalities would soon lead them to hit it off and blossom into something more. Jesse saw the caring and loving personality of Anna, while Anna came to admire, the fun and considerateness of Jesse. As their fruitful yet brief season of softball came to an end and Jesse returned back to his studies, hours away from Toronto where Anna was studying, it would become apparent that they cherished their time together. So they kept in touch until Jesse returned and taking her out on a series of dates, including a trip to the AGO, Eaton Center, and of course food! It would become obvious Jesse would ask her to become his girlfriend and now fiancée! They love the city of Toronto and enjoying them beauty of art and architecture and that is why they chose there backdrop of there pre-marriage ceremony to be the arches found in St. Lawrence market. We cant wait to showcase the next steps in their wedding planning!
Rebekah & Steven | Sunnybrook Park Fall Engagement
When the West Coast meets Central Canada, Rebekah and Steven’s story started when Steven came to Toronto to further his education from Vancouver. This was when he found a downtown Chinese church as his home church to serve and fellowship at for the time he was staying in Toronto. Steven joined the church’s university fellowship and one year later Rebekah joined the same fellowship group. At this point they knew of each other but were not close yet. It wasn’t until a year after they were in the same fellowship group, Steven had asked Rebekah to give him piano lessons and from then on they started a more personal friendship. After many prayers and patiently waiting, they finally started dating!
Rebekah finds Steven as one of the most faithful, sacrificial and intelligent man whereas Steven finds Rebakah smart, understanding and encouraging. Together they are supportive to one another and fun loving! They enjoy classical music concerts, dinners and outdoor activities together. For their Fall engagement session, they chose the Sunnybrook Park surrounded by nature and pops of fall colours.
When we arrived to our spot for photos, someone was barbequing in the middle of the park that lead smoke coming into our photos. Rebekah and Steven braced the smell and just look whimsical the smoke made their photos look with the sun setting behind them! They were so fun to photograph and they were all so giggly! So much joy coming out from these two!
Thank you Rebekah and Steven for having us capturing your engagement session and a dinner post session! We look forward to capturing many more giggles and joy for you on your wedding day next year!

Stephanie & Jason | Toronto Financial District Engagement Session
We had so much fun photographing Stephanie and Jason around Downtown Toronto. They even brought bubble tea to be photographed as they love spending time visiting different boba shops in the city. This time around they got the ShuYi fruit drinks - which really is out of this world and you gotta try if you haven’t already! We love it when couples incorporate a bit of props that represents their time spent together - Stephanie and Jason is just on point with that! We knew they’re our couple when the bride-to-be is also a foodie, like myself! :) pssst….they even got us each a drink from this boba shop - super sweet of them!
It’s been a long time coming for their engagement session as COVID lockdowns and restrictions, rainy weather, and permit communication approvals delayed us. But we finally made it through all that and roamed the streets of Toronto’s financial district and later to Polson Piers. It was so much fun documenting the smiles these two exchanged. Thank you for spending an evening with us and we can’t wait to photograph yourwedding in September! We know it’s going to be absolute fun, yet elegance!
Jenny & Aaron | Downtown Toronto Engagement Session
It was an absolute joy to have photographed this engagement session with Jenny & Aaron down the busiest streets of downtown Toronto! We started off at one of our favourite spot in a European-vibe hallway with columns creating the perfect backdrop for our lovely couple. They had so much fun walking up and down laughing with each other. We moved over to the front of St Lawrence Market and waited for the perfect moment after pedestrians and cars have passed. Finally, we’ve arrived at one of Toronto’s most iconic building - the Gooderham Building. It was a very busy spot with lots of traffic so we quickly snapped a few photos and carried on. Our final destination was really tailored for Jenny & Aaron, especially a little foreshadow for their wedding - “After Work is Guinness Time”! If you know, you know! ;) Downtown Toronto is a beautiful city and is surrounded by all sorts of backdrops for photo ops. We love a sweet downtown engagement anytime.
Aaron made our job so easy because he was always so good at making Jenny laugh (the photos can speak for itself). They share one of the best chemistry as a couple. Jenny and Aaron first met back in 2011 at a camp where they both attended. In 2013, this beautiful long distance relationship kick started with text messages and phone calls. With Jenny in Cincinnati and Aaron living in Toronto, video calling brought them closer together and foster their relationship deeper. (Thank goodness for technologies!) After 5 years of long distance, our beloved Jenny has decided to move from one big city to another to be with the love of her life - TORONTO! Fast forward to late 2020, Aaron popped the question and here we are photographing for their engagement!
Thank you for spending an evening with us and have us photograph this lovely downtown Toronto engagement! Oohh, we already started talking about some of the details of the wedding for next year and we are so looking forward to it!
Jenny & Tim | Love By The Waters Engagement
Jenny and Tim shares the most adorable chemistry. Tim always put a smile on Jenny by serenading her with her favourite song - for sure this was the most fun part of the session! They’re both so playful and yet can bring out the romantic side of their relationship when we were by the water with the sunset behind them! Scroll down to see more for yourself!
Ohhh, we can’t wait to photograph these two lovebirds again at their wedding in months time!

Samantha & Kelvin | Cherry Beach Engagement Session
Samantha and Kelvin, one of our lovely couples wanted to shoot their engagement at Cherry Beach this May to showcase their upcoming wedding. It has not been an easy year for many couples to plan their wedding around COVID, but these two have done a great job and we are so excited to see them tie the knot as their wedding approaches! The week leading up to their engagement session we had quite a warm and sunny time, however the evening that we shot, we were met with rain and SNOW earlier in the day! No matter rain, snow or shine, this lovely couple powered through it all and stand firm with the session! They’ve really demonstrated love is not cancelled under any circumstances (pandemic or weather etc.) and sometimes with this determination it bring great blessings at the end (sunset).
Thank you for showing us, once again, how powerful love is. We can’t wait to document your love at your wedding later this summer!
DINA & ARIS | City Engagement Sessions
Featuring the engagement session of our lovely downtown power couple, who have trusted us with capturing their engagement photos in the city they love.
We started the session in the heart of the financial district, below the beautiful cityscape tower buildings. We found ourselves in a blend of stone architecture from the past and more modern concrete that made for the perfect fit to set the style of their mood. As we all walked around discovering the beautiful core of the city they grew up in, we knew we had to capture in the foreground the iconic TTC they grew up with, it was pretty neat! Our final destination was at the Liberty Village area where they reside, so where better to end the evening than at the romantic pink walls by the carpet factory with its lovely florals!
MANLEY & LORIE | Toronto Whimsical Sunflower Field Engagement
We had the privilege to photograph Manley & Lories summer engagement session at Campbell's Sunflower Farm in Caledon Ontario. It was a sight to behold, as we looked upon the field of perferctly farmed sunflowers covering the rolling hills. The energy from the sunflower made the moment feel like an audience of 10,000 were witnessing this beautiful moment.
Not only did we have the perfect backdrop to capture Manley and Lorie’s lovely walk down the sunflower aisles, but the flood of soft golden light that poured through the air definitely made these captured moments truly whimsical and illuminating. They were so great to work with and it was so beautiful, we decided to stay longer!
We hope these photos will truly set the magical tone for their wedding. We can’t wait to document their upcoming 2021 wedding, cheers to more sunny days!
ANNIE & JEFF | Aga Khan Engagement Session
We met Annie & Jeff via Zoom while they were still in Hong Kong when they booked us. Our personalities just clicked when we first met them. A few months later, we finally met in person for their engagement session and they are the sweetest and cutest couple out there! Our sunset session at the Aga Khan was filled with laughters and smiles behind our masks. We stayed a little while after the sun had already set because we couldn’t stop photographing these two! The chemistry between Annie and Jeff are inseparable. Jeff is really good at making Annie laugh as you can really tell in the photos!
We are so excited to photograph more of you two at your wedding!
ELIZA & ALVIN | Toronto Tennis Court and Alexander Muir Park Engagement Session
Eliza and Alvin’s love story began about 7 years ago where they met through a mutual friend. Although they almost missed each other by not attending this mutual friend’s outing, we are thankfully they both went to the gathering and the rest is history!
Alvin planned a romantic proposal at an Air BnB with fairy lights beautifully decorated around the space. Cards written over the years were also placed to remind Eliza of the sweet memories they have shared in the last 7 years. It will be exactly 363 days after she had said yes to the day they will both say their I-Do’s!
On top of sharing passions for food together, they are also avid tennis players! Watch out these two are competitive! This common hobby had spiked up some creative ideas for their engagement session - what better location then to have their e-shoot at a tennis court! They changed into their tennis outfit and were ready to strike some lovely pose for us! We had the whole court to ourselves and worked in many angles! The best part was when the staff turned on the sprinklers for some added effects for the photos - love love love! The sun peaking just through the trees behind them and the water sprinkling over them made the scene super romantic!
If you’ve been to Alexander Muir Park, you would know there’s many cute spots with nature that can be used as a photo op. The trees make the perfect arch for us to frame Eliza and Alvin. Of course we also hung out at the popular white stone stair case wall as the backdrop.
Warden and I have not done an engagement session on the tennis court before, but we love to explore new locations like these to spike out our creativity! It definitely was so much fun working with Eliza and Alvin! Congratulations Eliza and Alvin, we are super excited to capture your upcoming wedding!!

LAURA & RYAN | Terre Bleu Summer Surprise Proposal
We met Laura & Ryan from church and quickly became friends. In fact, we have collaborated a few times with Laura as our model on a few commercial photography. Beginning of summer 2018, we were already talking to Laura about a personal session for herself and just brainstorming some fun ideas. She really left the location up to us. A few days later….RYAN CONTACTED US as he knew about our upcoming photoshoot with Laura and he told us that he wanted to PROPOSE!!!! We literally dropped everything and came up with a plan to do it at the photoshoot we have with Laura. Fast forward, we booked the photoshoot session at Terre Bleu Lavender Field for August on a weekday evening. Laura loved the venue and shopped for new outfits for her upcoming photoshoot.
The Day of the Proposal: Ryan met us at Yorkdale to go together to Terre Bleu and sort of get in position before Laura arrives. The forecast was calling for heavy rain and thunderstorm for the time we have our photoshoot booked for! Mid-way there, a staff from the venue called us asking if we would like to reschedule as the forecast calls for rain and other booking sessions have been rescheduled. After discussion with Ryan, we decided to proceed and prepared for “The NoteBook” style kind of proposal! We arrived before Laura and started getting into position and planned how Ryan is to hide behind the big yellow door. The whole time we kept looking up to the sky and really prayed for it to rain after the session is done! On the other hand, Laura messaged me a video of her windshield wipers clearing off the rain as she was driving. She even asked if we are REALLY proceeding with the shoot! LOL. We mentioned to her about our arrival at the venue and reassured her that we can work with the weather.
Upon Her Arrival: (no rain, just heavy clouds) As soon as Laura arrived, I walked her into our main shooting location. When we got close to field, Warden came up to block the site of her looking at the yellow door direction where Ryan was hiding. Laura settled her belongings on the picnic table and we hurried our photoshoot before it rain. On the aisle of the yellow door, we did a few portraits of Laura with the wide open field. By the time we got to the yellow door, we told her to pause and hold in position 3 metres before the door so we can get a wide shot (but we were really waiting for Ryan to get down on his knees). When Ryan gave us the thumb’s up signal, we told Laura to open the door and walk through the frame; then VOILA Laura was in a moment of delightful haze when she saw Ryan down on one knee with a ring! Ryan gave his speech and asked the question and…..SHE SAID YES!
THE SUN PEAKED OUT at the perfect time! We got some sunset photos which made everything the more romantic on this lavender field with these two sweetest and loving people on earth!
During the proposal period, Ryan’s GoPro ran out of battery but thankfully we had set our third body camera body to video recording just moments before Laura opened the door and everything was still beautifully captured!
We were so blessed as there was no rain throughout the whole time we were on the field, and then it started to thunderstorm on our way home! It was so much fun planning for a surprise proposal and we loved everything about this session!
