Rumi | Dreamy Maternity Session with Horse

How dreamy is this maternity shoot?!

When Rumi sent us her mood board, I knew this session was going to be beautiful! Pairing the golden hour with a horse and Rumi’s boho dress, it truly was a dreamy photo session! Of course, this well-maintained open green space at the Caledon Valley Estate makes a beautiful backdrop for this whole photo session to come true!

We could photograph this glowing and gorgeous mama all day, everyday! She was incredible; she knew exactly what she wanted and organized it accordingly. She got herself a makeup artist, hairstylist and booked Caledon Valley Estate after we mentioned the best time suggestion to her.

Rumi’s husband and cute toddler also joined in the session as well! Pinterest definitely needs to pin this for one-of-a-kind family inspiration photos! We had so much fun photographing this maternity and family session. Thank you for having us document this milestone for you with such a beautiful theme!

Annie & Jeff | Dreamy Toronto Cherry Blossom Maternity Photos

I was overjoyed when Annie reached out about her maternity session when she was only in her first trimester! One of our sweetest couples, Annie and Jeff, we first met them via Zoom while they were still in Hong Kong planning for their Toronto wedding. Then we photographed their engagement session at the Aga Khan Museum in 2020. Their micro wedding took place in 2021 where we were honoured to document them with their few friends and families on the day that they said “I Do”. And now we get to capture a whole new milestone! It’s like we get a “dose” of Annie and Jeff once a year and it’s awesome!

Cherry blossoms came just in time for Annie’s maternity photo session. We were anticipated the pretty cherry blossoms to bloom at the end of April. As you already know, the Canadian weather is never predictable. When we did our shoot, it was like the first day of bloom! Yay! It looked so dreamy with the white blossoms and Annie’s soft pink maternity dress!

Have you been hearing on blogTO and the news about how crowded High Park was for cherry blossoms? Well, we were there at sunset hour, in midst of all the crowds and everyone taking selfies or coming together to welcome the first day of spring! It was nice to see everyone out after 2 years of not able to view these beautiful blossoms - it was just crowded. Lol. Thankfully, we spotted an almost “empty” spot that people have missed and we positioned Annie & Jeff there. People looked at us like why we were shooting at an empty space while everyone was up close to the trees, but they didn’t see what we saw as a potential spot. :) As so, we created some dreamy maternity photos for our sweet couple.

Annie & Jeff thank you for once again trusting in us in creating memories for you and your family! We can’t wait to journey more beautiful milestones with you in the years to come! See you at our next session! :D

Vicky & Michael | Ruby Manor Maternity Session

Ruby Manor Maternity Session 4.jpg

Vicky & Michael’s photos were one of the dreamiest maternity session we’ve had. It was exactly how Vicky envisioned it to be. The London Room at the Ruby Manor studio was perfect for this dreamy maternity session. And this room couldn’t be more suitable for having a baby girl!

One of my favourite prop that they’ve brought to this session was Vicky’s first dress that she wore when she was a newborn. It’s pretty amazing that Vicky’s parents intentionally saved this 26+ years ago for their daughter’s daughter to wear one day. It’s absolute nostalgic and memorable and of course serves as the best prop for a photoshoot. Scroll down to see both Vicky and Michael holding this dress and can’t wait to see baby E wear it!

Michael is my younger brother and Vicky being my beloved sister-in-law are going to be parents! I am going to be an AUNT! It is so surreal!!! Growing up, I’ve never pictured ourselves at this stage in life. At times, we still feel like kids joking around and poking fun at each other. Never imagined that’ll be a Gu-Ma (Chinese for older aunt) hahaha makes me sound so old! Nonetheless, I am so happy for them and excited to meet my niece!
